Night Time Routine

I firstly wipe away most of my make up with a Simple Cleansing Wipe, I then brush my teeth and then I go ahead and cleanse my face with the Neutrogena Wave which I recently just got and I really love it, it instantly made my skin feel cleaner and softer after just one use. I then use the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub and after drying my face I either use a thick cream such as this Nivea one which I am currently using or if my skin is feeling a bit dehydrated I put on Origins Drink-Up Intensive Mask which I got for Christmas, this small tube will last me quite a while though as I only use it once or twice a week and you only need a small amount.

I then apply a small amount of Mica Beauty's Age Defying Eye Gel; I use this as I was told it would help reduce dark bags and circles and after using it for quite a while, I can say it does help but using it everyday does dry out my eye area so I only use it when I feel it necessary. I then apply a bit of L'Occitane's Shea Butter on my cuticles, Nuxe's Reve De Miel Lip Balm on my lips, a bit of Soap and Glory's Heel Genius on le feet, go wash my hands and then apply a generous amount of Garnier's Nourishing Hand Cream.

I then finally light a candle and grab a book if I'm not tired out from doing all of that. Phew. Then it's beddy bye.

Hope everyone is doing well! Just a few more days and I'm off to Scotland, yay!

Inexpensive Lip Care

Winter is creeping on us so the weather is turning cold and harsh as I have already mentioned. At this time of year, and I know I am not alone on this, my lips get dry and chapped. In previous years I just used to rely on Vaseline - not a good idea. I'm not a huge fan of Vaseline so much any more as I've noticed it just coats my lips (and skin) instead of actually moisturising and nourishing - therefore I have abandoned Vaseline and am now taking real good care of my lips, using inexpensive products, yay!

(Baby Lips, the Basins Lip Scrub and Rose Salve are all purchases I made while I was in Miami in the Summer therefore it may be hard trying to get your hands on them over here in the UK but you can just get similar products.)

The original Carmex is looking a bit tattered because I have had it for a couple of years but it is still going strong and doing its job. Carmex is a saviour amongst people who get dry lips - it literally wipes away all the dead skin and leaves them super smooth. When you apply it it leaves a tingly sensation on your lips - so you know it's definitely working! The cherry tube does the same thing except it leaves bit more of a glossy look to your lips and it has a cherry scent. I like to carry the tube around with me as it's easier to apply.

I've mentioned how I use the Blistex Intensive Moisturiser here but essentially I just apply it on my lips before I go to bed and I wake up with soft, smooth lips.

The lib scrub was actually my first lip scrub purchase, I was eyeing up Lush's lip scrub before I left for America, but while I was in Basins in Downtown Disney (haha I know) I just had to get it because it smelt amazing. You basically just apply this to wet lips, scrub it in using a circular motion with your finger then you can either wash or lick it off because it's all natural ingredients. I like to use this once or twice a week when I feel my lips need a bit more TLC.

Baby Lips is one of my favourite lip balms, firstly it smells lovely (you may have noticed I like products that smell good) and it leaves a really  pretty colour on your lips while leaving them soft and moisturised - an all in one product for a really good price.

I love these products but I am eyeing up Nuxe's Reve de Miel Lip Balm and I will be purchasing this soon. Like really soon. I tried it on when I went to my friend Serena's house and Marta and I both fell in love with it and couldn't stop applying (and sniffing) it. So if you're in the market for a really amazing lip balm - I recommend this.

I hope you're all doing well!

October Favourites

Well, it has most definitely been a hectic month for me. You may have noticed my lack of posts, that's because I've moved! So I haven't had a lot of time to try out new products or even do my make up properly, it's literally been very basic for me this past month. However, winter is coming (Game of Thrones anyone?) so the weather has been turning cold and harsh. So, my favourites this month are mainly revolved around keeping my skin moisturised and looking good.

All these lipsticks (and the balm stain) have been great this past month as not only do they give my lips a lovely colour but they also keep my lips moisturised which is what I need this time of year. For actual lip care I have been using a lot of Carmex during the day and before I apply my lipsticks. I apply the Blistex cream at night before I go to bed and I wake up with really soft, moisturised lips.

Body Shop's body butter in Moringa is my absolute favourite body shop butter - it's so moisturising and it smells just divine. Soap and Glory's Righteous Butter crept its way to share the glory of favourite body moisturiser next to Moringa the first time I used it - it's ever so moisturising and again it just smells incredible. I use either one of these body butters after a shower everyday (so I go through a lot) - they just keep my skin moisturised and happy. Soap and Glory's Heel Genius is a wonderful foot cream (won't go into much detail because I dislike feet), it keeps my feet soft and smooth. Soap and Glory's Hand Food is my favourite hand cream ever - it keeps my hands moisturised for a long time without leaving my hands greasy - and again it smells incredible.

I have been using this Smashbox blush pretty much everday - it looks like a crazy hot pink in the pan but just a soft sweep on the cheeks makes them look like natural rosy cheeks. The MUA palette is crazy cheap - it's called Undressed (it's basically a super cheap dupe of Urban Decay's Naked palette). The colours are great - it has a range of matte and shimmers and dark and light - it's very versatile.
A close up of the colours:

So these are my October favourites - I hope you enjoyed this post. I've almost settled into my new flat so expect loads more frequent posts!

I hope you all had a good October and have a happy November!
