Four Days In Venice

I returned to Italy a week ago, and this time hit up Venice. I absolutely love Italy, from the atmosphere, to the rustic feel to the glorious, glorious food. Michael and I got on our easyjet plane on Monday and arrived in cloudy Venice a couple of hours later.

Rome, Italy // Photo Diary

Ciao! I recently took a week long trip to Rome. ROME. It was absolutely beautiful and I had the most wonderful time. We did the usual touristy stuff and what not and we had wonderful (if not sometimes unbearable) hot weather.

Photo Diary // Winter Wonderland // 22/Nov/14

I went back to my lovely city London (it's super convenient going to university which is only a short train ride away from home) on Saturday and it was essentially a perfect day for me. Theatre, Christmas lights, food, Winter Wonderland, more food and good company.

Photo Diary // Sopot, Poland

Last week I took a trip to Sopot, Poland with one of my best friends. I had such an amazing time and am literally already itching to go back. I wouldn't have thought Poland would be a great place for a holiday, but trust me, it is! We stayed by the beach and the centre of Sopot so we were literally near everything (which meant 6am returns from a night out were no problem whatsoever).

Photo Diary // Brighton 28th June 2014

On Saturday my mum and I took a trip to Brighton for the day. I was curious about prices to get from London to Brighton so I took to National Express and one way is £5...£5! That's less than a trip from one side of London to the other, so of course I booked and off we went.

A Day In London - 2nd February 2014

© Emma Simpson
Hey everyone, I decided to start a new series on my blog called 'A Day in London' where I post photos and talk about the day I had in London. There are so many things to do, see, eat, explore and experience and being a Londoner, I decided it was about time to take advantage of my lovely city. So to start off the series, here are some photos (most are taken by my lovely friend Emma who is amazing at photography, please go check out her travel blog. She's just come back from Singapore and Bali so definitely check it out!) from Sunday which was Chinese New Year.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Happy Christmas Eve! Sorry I've been absent for the past couple of weeks - I'm home for Winter break and I've just been spending time with my friends, mum, Tinkerbell and eating chocolate. Today I thought I'd share a few photos I took when I went to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park last week, it was so lovely even though it poured it down with rain. It was my first time going and I had a great time, I highly recommend it - but just be prepared for the ridiculous  prices (we're talking £2 for a can of coke...)

Photo Diary - The Final Teenage Year

It was my birthday on the 9th, and I turned 19 - my final teenage year, ahhh! - so to celebrate, a few friends and I went to The Roadhouse in Covent Garden for dinner, drinks and to partay! I hadn't been before so I was a bit worried it wasn't going to be great, but I had the best time!

Photo Diary - A 'Wicked' Day Out

It was my mum's birthday yesterday so we went out to London and made the most out of our day. I had an MRI in Waterloo in the early afternoon (thanks to everyone who sent a message ♥), but after that we wandered around before we went to go see Wicked at the Victoria Apollo Theatre.

We decided to go Oxford Street because why not? First stop was the new H&M flagship store then Topshop.

What's that sound? Oh, just the angels singing from Heaven above.

Photo Diary - Stirling, Scotland

Over the weekend Chloe and I went on a very long bus journey to see our dear friend Emma. The journey was ridiculously long, I don't recommend sitting on a coach for almost 11 hours (with no breaks may I add!) but Stirling was very much worth it.

Don't be put off by the look of this pint, it's just it was the last of the keg so we got smoothie-cider, still good though! Their pints aren't actually like this usually, ha.

We took a trip to Emma's university's student union the first night and when the clock hit 12 we started Chloe's birthday celebration, we then met two of Emma's interesting friends who kept us up till around 5am, thanks guys, not like we just had a 11 hour journey ;)

The next day we visited Loch Katrine which is absolutely beautiful, we then took a quick trip to the village of Callandar and bought some fudge and Scottish shortbread biscuits, yum. We then got some yummy fish and chips and ate them with a raspberry cider at the Allanwater Brewery where they brew the most weird beers, marmalade beer, yup, mango beer, you got it, whiskey beer, of course! I'm not a huge beer lover so I stuck with a raspberry cider and mulled cider which was so good.
The next day we spent resting because we were all just so tired, ha, so we spent the whole day in Emma's room with about 100 other people and then it was time for Chloe and I to head off back to London and endure another long journey with stinky, snoring men and guys who like to listen to their top 40 music very loudly. Charming.

But we had a lovely weekend, I do recommend visiting Scotland, we only visited a fraction but from what I saw, I know I'd love to go back and explore some more. But this time I'm catching a plane!

Hope everyone had a good weekend!
