Oh hello, all. It's been a little while since I've last come on here but I swear I have a good reason. I've been finishing my degree! So let's chat.

2016

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had an amazing 2015, and I hope you have an even better 2016. 2015 was one of the best years of my life, it had ups and downs but for the most part, it was filled with happiness and love. I think one of the main reasons why 2015 was good for me was because I tried to have a positive outlook on everything. Finding the silver lining is always worth it. I said yes to more things, opened up more, loved more and saw more of the world -  I wrote an email to myself via FutureMe and told myself to do these three things and I did, mainly because I said yes and because I had someone to do this with.

So, here is what I am expecting from 2016:

Finding The Good in Everyday

Sometimes it's easy to forget just how lucky we are. We let the small stresses of life get to us and it clouds our vision, it stops us from seeing what's right there in front of us.

Photo Diary - Stirling, Scotland

Over the weekend Chloe and I went on a very long bus journey to see our dear friend Emma. The journey was ridiculously long, I don't recommend sitting on a coach for almost 11 hours (with no breaks may I add!) but Stirling was very much worth it.

Don't be put off by the look of this pint, it's just it was the last of the keg so we got smoothie-cider, still good though! Their pints aren't actually like this usually, ha.

We took a trip to Emma's university's student union the first night and when the clock hit 12 we started Chloe's birthday celebration, we then met two of Emma's interesting friends who kept us up till around 5am, thanks guys, not like we just had a 11 hour journey ;)

The next day we visited Loch Katrine which is absolutely beautiful, we then took a quick trip to the village of Callandar and bought some fudge and Scottish shortbread biscuits, yum. We then got some yummy fish and chips and ate them with a raspberry cider at the Allanwater Brewery where they brew the most weird beers, marmalade beer, yup, mango beer, you got it, whiskey beer, of course! I'm not a huge beer lover so I stuck with a raspberry cider and mulled cider which was so good.
The next day we spent resting because we were all just so tired, ha, so we spent the whole day in Emma's room with about 100 other people and then it was time for Chloe and I to head off back to London and endure another long journey with stinky, snoring men and guys who like to listen to their top 40 music very loudly. Charming.

But we had a lovely weekend, I do recommend visiting Scotland, we only visited a fraction but from what I saw, I know I'd love to go back and explore some more. But this time I'm catching a plane!

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

No regrets.
Bring it on, 2013.

Life of Pi Premiere!

Zara Dress - Topshop Clutch - Office Shoes - Apricot Jacket

So today I got to go to the premiere of Life of Pi at the Empire cinema in Leicester Square! It was such an amazing experience, I got to dress up (think I was a little over dressed for just a guest, but oh well ;) ) and I got to walk the red, whoops, no blue carpet! It was amazing! Some of you may know, I want to be an actress, so walking the carpet, seeing the photographers, TV crew, presenters and actors (and director!) was just so incredible for me. It was like a slice of what my life could be like and I loved it. I felt so amazing walking down the carpet, a lot of people probably thought nothing of it really (my mum, who I took as my plus one, said she felt pretty 'normal') but for me it meant a lot.

I got to see the director and main actor, Suraj Sharma and a few celebrities (including my ultimate favourite actor, Tom Hiddleston (sorry John Depp, dear, I still do love you a lot) - it was just all so incredible. The Empire is a lovely cinema, I've been before but the auditorium for the premiere was something else! It was absolutely huge! I walked in and just had to take it in before I went to my seat.

Now, the movie, oh gosh the movie was just stunning. I have yet to read the book, but I'm still going through The Song of Ice and Fire series, but after seeing the movie, the book is on top of my reading list. For an actor who hasn't done anything professional before, Suraj Sharma did an absolutely amazing job. Ang Lee captured each scene perfectly and there were some scenes where I as just in awe by the beauty. I loved the movie and would like to go watch it again in the cinema as it was just so beautiful. Maybe it was the whole experience of being at the premiere that made me love the movie so much (or maybe it was due to the fact that I was breathing the same air as Mr Hiddleston) but the movie is a must watch.

I had such an incredible night, it was definitely something I will remember for the rest of my life. My first red (blue) carpet experience. And I got to sit in the same room as Tom Hiddleston. Ahem.

Keep an eye out for my next post where I will go through my make up for the night!
